The Criteria
We want you to start with a maximum pot of £115. Should you wish to put more in, then you will not be allowed to enter; we want to ensure it is a level playing field.
You will choose seven coins at £15 per coin, by rank and by sector, using the resources below. As similar to the FTSE 100 stock exchange ie Tech v Insurance care sector -
https://www.coingecko.com/en - This platform lists most of the coins out there.
https://messari.io/enterprise - This Is a more in depth charting software.
We would like you to pick two coins each per RANK and each coin should be from a unique SECTOR.
For example ...
by RANK - Market Cap (What is the total value)
1. Top-tier 1 to 10 - Bitcoin ( BTC ), Ethereum ( ETH )
2. Mid-tier 11 to 75 - PancakeSwap ( CAKE ), Aave ( AAVE )
3. Low-Tier 76 to 150 - Chiliz ( CHZ ), SandBox ( SAND )
by SECTOR - Tech v Insurance
1. Currency - Bitcoin ( BTC )
2. Smart Contracts - Ethereum ( ETH )
3. Decentralised exchange - PancakeSwap ( CAKE )
4. Lending/Borrowing - Aave ( AAVE )
5. Sport - Chiliz ( CHZ )
6. Gaming - SandBox ( SAND )
You are not limited to the sectors above, they are examples only, you may choose any crypto sector you like, providing of course there is only one coin from that sector in the portfolio.
Your 7th choice may be of the ranking/sector of your own choosing.
How do you do this?
Fundamental analysis - you can read about each coin using the links below. Look at their websites, read relevant news and articles in general as well as the coin’s white paper.
Technical analysis (charting) - using TradingView, look at the price history, recent highs & lows, decide if it is trading sideways in a range, or is it trending in one direction or another?
Sentiment value - what does the coin do and how does it have a real use case in the future, for example, CHZ is a sport coin. Look at the coin’s Twitter page and any other social media sites on which it has a presence.
https://app.santiment.net/ gives a gauge on all big social media sites BUT delayed.
https://cryptopanic.com gives a gauge by Reddit & Twitter news posts.
